Eastern Oregon downs Orediggers

Helena – The Orediggers held Eastern Oregon's studs in check, but the rest of the team stepped in to run past Tech 77-60 at the Carroll College Classic.

Tech (3-2) drops their second game in a row after opening the season with three wins. Eastern Oregon (9-0) stays unbeaten.

Tech only shot 34.5-percent from the field while Eastern hit 44.6-percent of their shots.

“It was a very physical, chippy game,” said head coach Aaron Woliczko.

“We held their very good shooter Trent Roos to only two shots and Brown had to work for points.”

Adam Greger led the Orediggers with 16 points, six rebounds, three assists and a pair of steals.

Freshman Quinn Smith turned in a double-double with 13 points, 11 boards and a block.

Brandon Rydberg, who defended Roos in the game, had 10 points and four rebounds.

Montana Tech is in Salt Lake City for the Westminster Thanksgiving Classic next weekend.
