Tech Falls Short in Dillon

Box Score Dillon-Montana Tech couldn't pull off another upset at Western. The Bulldogs defeated the 'Diggers 64-55.

Western built a slow lead in the first half and took an eight point lead into halftime 33-25. Tech shot 40-percent in the first half while Western hit 44-percent from the field.

In the second half, Montana Tech had a brief lead with 3:05 to go in the game after a 9-2 run over almost ten minutes, but Western pulled away for the win.

Freshman Adam Greger led Tech in scoring with 16 points on 5 of 10 from the field and 1 of 2 from beyond the arc. Greger also had four rebounds.

Senior Tyree Haynie had 12 points, three rebounds and a steal.

Junior Dan Simon had 10 points and eight rebounds.

For Western, Frontier Conference's leading scorer Bandon Brown had 21 points going 3 of 6 from three-point range. He had eight assists and five rebounds.

Montana Tech is on the road next week when they head to Helena to take on Carroll on Thursday.
