SEATTLE, Wash. – The Lady Diggers fell short against Division II Central Washington at the Sodexo Tip-Off Classic Saturday afternoon 63-58.
Montana Tech (3-3) lost their second straight at the tournament.
Central Washington (1-1) improves their record in the young season.
The Lady Diggers led 32-30 at the break, but Central Washington fought back in the second half. The Wildcats scored 21 off of turnovers and had 16 second chance points.
Kelsey DeWit led the Diggers with 16 points on 6 of 8 shooting. She also had five rebounds, five assists and three steals in the game.
Kabri Emerson netted 13 points and grabbed four rebounds.
Shayla Mack shot 3 of 4 from beyond the arc finishing with 13 points. She also had four rebounds.
Melanie Valdez led the Wildcats with 24 points.
Montana Tech is off until December 7
th when they open the conference season at Lewis-Clark State.
