BUTTE – The Montana Tech women's basketball team took control early winning their second straight conference matchup against Dickinson State 72-60.
The Orediggers (6-5, 2-3) get back above the .500 mark.
Dickinson (12-8, 2-3) loses their third straight game.
Tech dominated under the basket outrebounding the Blue Hawks 42-23. Shooting wasn't a problem either shooting 59.2 percent from the field and hitting 6 of 14 from three.
The Blue Hawks hit just 35 percent from the field and 30.8 percent from beyond the arc.
Mandy Machinal led all scorers with 21 points on 8 of 13 shooting. She also had seven rebounds and a pair of assists.
Kelsey DeWit was the only other Digger in double digits netting 11.
Kabri Emerson led the team in re bounds with nine. She also had three assists, two steals and a block.
Martha Dembek had seven points and six rebounds.
Jess Bygate led the Blue Hawks with 14 points and three rebounds.
Tech is home again next weekend when they host MSU-Northern on Friday and Lewis-Clark State on Saturday.
