Northern Squeaks Out 2OT Win

BUTTE, Mont. – It took two extra periods and a last second shot for Northern to overcome the Orediggers 83-82.

Tech (9-8, 2-4) stumbles after winning two in a row.

Northern (16-4, 4-2) rebounds after falling to conference leader Westminster last weekend.

The Orediggers shot 52.5 percent on the night and outrebounded the Lights 42-30.

Northern hit 75 percent from the line and late free throws in regulation kept them in the game.

Antonio Snow had his best game of the season with 28 points. He also had four rebounds, two assists and two steals.

Adam Greger netted 22 points and grabbed five rebounds.

Bryan Bock was the only other Oredigger in double digits with 12 points. He also had six rebounds and two assists.  

Marcus Payne had nine points in the game and a team leading 11 rebounds.

Corbin Person led the Lights with 26 points, six rebounds, 2 assists and three blocks.

Montana Tech is home again tomorrow night when they host the Lewis-Clark State Warriors.
