BUTTE, Mont. – Montana Tech upended their second top 25 opponent in last two weeks in No. 22 Lewis-Clark State 81-74.
The Orediggers (10-8, 3-4) surprised than-ranked No. 10 Rocky last Thursday helping knock them out of the Top 25. The
Warriors may fall out as well this week.
The Warriors (16-5, 4-3) fall in the tight Frontier standings after their three game win streak is snapped.
The Orediggers erased an 11-point halftime deficit outscoring LC-State 52-34 in the second half. Tech shot 56.3 percent in
the second half including 5 of 10 from beyond the arc and 11 of 12 from the line. The Diggers finished the game with a 46.9
shooting percentage from the field.
The Orediggers outrebounded the Warriors 39-30.
Antonio Snow led the charge again putting up 21 points on 9 of 15 shooting and 3 of 5 from three. He also had six rebounds and five assists.
Adam Greger scored 18 points on 8 of 15 shooting. He had three rebounds and a steal on the night.
Marcus Payne posted the first double-double of his career with 11 points and 11 rebounds. It was the second night in a row
grabbing 11 rebounds for the freshman.
Montana Tech hits the road next weekend. The Orediggers meet Dickinson State in North Dakota on Saturday.
