Kelsey DeWit scored her 1000th career point for Montana Tech in the 48-64 nonconference loss to the South Dakota School of Mines.
With less than a minute left in the first half DeWit stepped to the free throw line for two free throws and the chance to hit the career milestone. The senior made both.
Mandy Machinal led the Diggers on offense scoring 13 points, while shooting 50 percent from the floor.Â
The Orediggers shot 30 percent from the floor and turned the ball over 22 times.
Megan Rohrer led the Hardrockers with 16 points.
The Lady Diggers return home to take on UGF this Friday night and Carroll College this Saturday.
