Men's Hoops Drop 67-57 decision to Dickinson State

Box Score DICKINSON, N.D. - The Men's Basketball (2-1) lost thier first game of the 2014-15 season, 57-67, Saturday night to the Dickinson State Blue Hawks. The Diggers were plagued by fouls (30) which allowed DSU to connect on 23 free throws. The Blue Hawk defense forced 20 Digger turnovers which turned into 15 DSU points. 

Tech had three players score in double figures including senior Adam Greger who had a team-high 16 points. Guard Antonio Snow and forward Chase Haack added 14 and 10 points respectively. Brandon Rydberg had a balance game for the Orediggers with seven points, a team-high six rebounds and two assists.

Dickinson State (1-4), who picked up thier first win of the season, were led by Curtis Redd's game-high 17 points and five boards. Connor Donaldson had a double-double of the night with 12 points and 10 boards. 

Tech led by as many as six (15-9) in the first half but saw their lead drift away as DSU chipped away to the 37-36 advantage at the half. Dickinson State started the second half with a 5-0 run but the Diggers were able to wipe away the deficit to take the lead at 52-48. The Blue Hawks fought back with a 15-1 run to regain the lead and seal the victory.

The Diggers return to the hardwood on Wednesday Nov. 5th when they travel to NCAA Division I opponent Idaho State for an exhibition match-up at 7 p.m.
