Box Score OREM, Utah -- A hot shooting Montana Tech squad fell 75-65 to NCAA Division I Utah Valley. The Lady Diggers shot just 36 percent from the floor but shot 61.1 on three pointers against the Wolverines to keep it close.
Doing a majority of the damage was sophomore wing
Martha Dembek. Dembek scored a career high 20 points and hit five of her six three point attempts to lead the Lady Diggers. The Winnett native added nine rebounds to an already impressive stat line.
Kayla DeWit scored 16 points in the post while
Shayla Mack tallied 11. Guard
Hattie Thatcher continued to pile up the assists dishing out eight.
The Lady Diggers made over 10 three point field goals in a contest for the second time this season.
Utah Valley was led by Rhaiah Spooner-Knight who had 25 points shooting 7-13 from the field.
Montana Tech returns to Kelvin Sampson court this Friday night at 5:30 PM when they take on Dickinson State.
