Lady Diggers Roll Past Oglala Lakota, 97-48

Sophia Baetz had a season-high 17 points
Box Score GREAT FALLS, Mont. - The Montana Tech women's basketball team defeated the Oglala Lakota College Lady Brave Hearts, 97-48 in a non-conference matchup Saturday night.

Montana Tech (5-2) dominated the boards outrebounding OLC 45-28. The Diggers also had 30 assists on 39 shots. Tech's defense forced 27 turnovers and had 14 steals on the night.

Tech had five players in double figures including Mandy Machinal with a team-high 21. Machinal added six rebounds and four assists. Sophia Baetz hit five shots from beyond the arc for a season-high 17 points in 13 minutes of action. Martha Dembek extended her double-digit scoring streak to six with 11 points while Kabri emerson and Kayla DeWit chipped in with 15 and 13 points respectively.

Alyssa Looks Twice led Oglala Lakota with a game-high 25 points.

Up next, the Lady Diggers head to Spearfish, S.D. on Nov. 25 to take on Black Hills State for a 5:30 p.m. matchup.
