Lady Diggers Hang Tough In 79-75 Loss vs. Metro State

Box Score COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Lady Diggers dropped thier second contests at the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs Thanksgiving Classic, 79-75 to NCAA D-II Metro State University. With the loss Tech drops to 5-4 on the season while the Roadrunners improve to 3-1.

Senior Mandy Machinal hit five three pointers and went a perfect 9-for-9 from the charity stripe for a season-best 36 points, just one point shy of her career-high. Transer Kayla DeWit filrted with a double-double with 12 points and eight rebounds and Martha Dembek added 10 points, six rebounds and five assists for the Lady Orediggers. Senior Kabri Emerson had her seventh double-figure game with 10 points on the night. The forward also added seven boards. 

The Roadrunners were led by senior Deni Jacobs who was one of four MSU players with 14 points. 

The Lady Diggers are back in action when they host a pair of games against Northwest Indian College on Saturday December 6 and Sunday December 7 at 5:30 p.m.
