Box Score BILLINGS, Mont. – The Orediggers drop a defensive battle against Central Washington to open the MSU-Billings Holiday Classic. Tech falls 56-47 to the Wildcats.

The Wildcats led by just two in the first half 25-23, but increased the differential by seven for the nine-point victory.

The Orediggers hit a low 2 of 18 from three-point in the game.

Mandy Machinal and Hattie Thatcher led the Diggers with 11 points apiece. Hatcher also grabbed six defensive rebounds.

Sophomore Martha Dembeck grabbed eight boards but only connected on free throws for four points.

Jasmin Edwards led the Wildcats with 14 points and seven rebounds.

Tech continues the tournament tomorrow against MSU-B Yellow Jackets at 7:30 p.m.
