Scouting the Lady Eagles
The Northwest Indian College Lady Eagles are 0-2 against Frontier Conference opponents to start the 2014-15 season. The Lady Eagles fell 87-30 to #21 MSU-Northern on October 16th  and 86-57 to the University of Great Falls on October 17th. Against Northwest Indian College MSU-Northern's Natalie Faupel scored 25 points and UGF's Lindsay Abrahamson scored 28 points.
 
The Lady Eagles won their home opener against Columbia Bible College of Abbotsford, BC 61-51. Sarah Brady and Kyla Frajman led the team with 18 points a piece.

Rebounding Squad
The Lady Diggers are second in the Frontier Conference in rebounds per game (42.8). Montana Tech has three players who average over five rebounds per game with Kabri Emerson (8.6), Martha Dembek (6.7), and Kayla DeWit (5.6). The Orediggers are outrebounding their opponents by 7.2 rebounds per contest.

Montana Tech is second in the Frontier Conference and fourteenth in the nation in free throw percentage (71.9%). Mandy Machinal (87.5%) and Martha Dembek (84.0%) lead an Oredigger starting five that all shoot over 70 percent from the charity stripe.

Hitting Her Stride
Montana Tech senior Mandy Machinal scored a season high 36 points for the Lady Diggers last Saturday. Machinal's career high for Montana Tech was a 37 point eruption against UM-Western her freshman season. The senior guard is averaging 13.5 points per game while shooting 33.1 percent from the field and 87.5 percent from the free throw line.
 
High Percentage Post
Kayla DeWit leads the Frontier Conference and is second in the nation in field goal percentage (69.0%). DeWit leads the Lady Diggers in scoring averaging 15.1 points per game and is averaging 5.6 rebounds per game. The Montana State transfer has scored double digits every game this season.
 
Emerson On The Glass
Montana Tech's Kabri Emerson is fourth in the conference in rebounding averaging 8.56 boards per contest. Emerson has five double digit rebounding games for the Lady Diggers early this season. The senior post is averaging 12.4 points per game while shooting 62 percent from the field.
 
Thatcher Dishes Dimes
Montana Tech's point guard Hattie Thatcher is second in the Frontier Conference in assists per game (4.78). The sophomore had a career high nine assists twice this season against College of Idaho and Arizona Christian. Thatcher is averaging 4.0 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.1 steals per game.
 
Dembek Pads The Statsheet 
Oredigger wing player Martha Dembek scored 10 points, grabbed six rebounds and dished out five assists in Montana Tech's 79-75 loss to NCAA Division II Metro State University. Dembek is averaging 10 points, 6.6 rebounds and two assists per game for the Lady Diggers.
