Box Score BUTTE, Mont. – The Montana Tech men's basketball team defeated the visiting Northwest Indian College Eagles, 98-56 Saturday night. Tech connected on 41-of-73 field goals (.562) on the night and limited the Eagles to just 29.7 percent.
The Oredigger (6-5) bench outscored NWIC 39-10 and outrebounded the Eagles 57-25. Junior
Paul Engstrom led the Digger offense going 10-for-12 for a game- and career-high 20 points. Engstrom also had eight boards. Senior
Adam Greger had his 10
th double-figure game of the year with 17 points while
Chase Haack added 10 points and seven boards. Forward
Marcus Payne came off the bench to produce his first double-double of the season with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Mike Schajang Jr. led the way for NWIC with 20 points and five rebounds.
Tech and NWIC battle again tomorrow at the HPER at 7:30 p.m.
