Diggers Fly Past Eagles

Box Score BUTTE, Mont. – The Orediggers easily hand Northwest Indian College their second loss on Kelvin Sampson Court this weekend 76-48.

Montana Tech (7-4) stays unbeaten at home winning their fourth straight in Butte.

The Diggers outrebounded the visiting Eagles 53-32 while holding them to just 26.8 percent from the field.

Mandy Machinal led Tech with 17 points on 7 of 13 shooting. She also led the team in rebounding grabbing nine boards. The senior also had seven assists in the game.

Martha Dembek had 16 points shooting 6 of 13 from the field and 3 of 7 from long. She also had six rebounds and two blocks.

Kayla DeWit was the only other Digger in double digits adding 11 points and five rebounds.

Kabri Emerson had eight points and eight rebounds.

Montana Tech is off for the next couple of weeks. The Orediggers return to action in Billings at the Yellow Jacket Women's Basketball Classic at MSU-Billings.
