Bryan Bock gave it all he had against MSU-Northern but the DIggers fell short losing 72-77 in overtime.
Bock scored 15 points in the first half to keep Montana Tech within seven of #23 ranked MSU-Northern. Bock would finish the contest with a season high 27 points and collected six rebounds for the Orediggers while playing 41 of the 45 total minutes.
The Diggers outscored MSU-Northern 38-31 in the second half but a late foul call gave the Lights a chance to win it with .3 left in the ball game. Corbin Pearson went to the free throw line with Northern trailing 67-65 to shoot three free throws and perhaps win it for Northern.
Pearson missed the first one, but made the second and third to force overtime. In overtime, the Diggers were outscored 10-5 and ended up falling 72-77 in the contest.
Trent Thompson scored 11 points, and
Antonio Snow chipped in 10 for Montana Tech. Northern was led in scoring by Corbin Pearson who had 16 points.
The Diggers fall to 4-7 in conference and 12-11 overall while Northern improves to 8-3 in the Frontier and 20-5 overall.
Tech finishes its road trip against UGF Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. in the McLaughlin Center.
