BUTTE, Mont. – In a game all about offense, Montana Tech outlasted Northwest Indian College 110-101.
The Orediggers held off a barrage of three-pointers in the second half from the Eagles. Northwest Indian shot 10-of-16 from beyond the arc and 15-of-30 from the floor in the final stanza.
Sophomore
Jalen Coates scored 20 points on 8-of-13 shooting and
Cruz Ginns Jr. matched Coates' output with a 20 point performance of his own. Ginns Jr. was an efficient 8-of-10 from the floor and 4-for-4 from the free throw line.
Big men
Flemming Okeke and
Paul Engstrom chipped in 16 and 14 points, respectably. Engstrom led the Diggers on the glass with eight boards.
Freshman
Lukas Vining padded the stat sheet notching nine points, four boards, three assists and a steal in just 24 minutes of action.
The Eagles were led in scoring by Austin Miller who had 26 points.
Montana Tech improves to 4-0 on the season.
