BUTTE, Mont. – The Orediggers routed the Centurions 113-76 in the team's first ever meeting Saturday night. The Diggers improve to 5-0 on the season.
Montana Tech started things off with a flourish taking a 13-2 five minutes into the first half.
Cruz Ginns Jr. Led all scored the first seven points of the game. Ginns Jr. finished the contest with a team-high 26 points on 10-of-16 shooting while adding 9 rebounds, four assists, and three steals.
Sophomore guard
Jalen Coates also had a strong showing scoring 20 points and dishing out six assists.
Lukas Vining and
Paul Engstrom finished the game with 17 points each for the Orediggers.
Keegan Oyugi scored 28 points to lead Yellowstone Christian.
Montana Tech shot 57 percent from the floor in the victory.
The Orediggers head to Houston, Texas next weekend to take on former Oredigger head coach Kelvin Sampson's University of Houston Cougars in an exhibition contest. That game will tip off at 8 PM.
