BUTTE, Mont. – The Montana Tech women's basketball team had three players' record double-doubles in the second straight route of the Northwest Indian College Eagles. The Orediggers move to 2-0 on the season with a 90-46 victory.
Junior
Hattie Thatcher registered her second double-double in two days with 16 points and 11 assists. She also grabbed seven rebounds and four steals.
The Orediggers dominated the paint scoring 38-10 down low.
Newcomer
Dahlia Lopez grabbed 14 rebounds and scored 11 points off the bench. The junior transfer shot 4 of 9 from the field and 3 of 4 from the free throw line.
Senior
Shayla Mack was the other Digger with the double-double. She had 11 points and 10 boards.
Freshman
Sammy McGree shot 5 of 12 from three finishing with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists.
Jasmine Montgomery-Reid led the Eagles with 19 points and 4 rebounds.
Montana Tech returns to the home court next weekend. The Diggers host two Canadian Schools next weekend. Mount Royal University tips off at 2 p.m. Saturday and University of Alberta Sunday at 1 p.m. on Kelvin Sampson Court.
