BUTTE, Mont. – The Orediggers put up a good fight, but the No. 5 Rocky Mountain Battlin' Bears blocked their way to victory 25-18, 19-25, 25-12, 25-17.

Rocky Mountain (9-1, 24-5) posted 17 team blocks giving the Orediggers trouble at the net.

The Orediggers (4-6, 16-11) had 49 kills in the match but also had 39 errors.

Senior Sydney Norris led Montana Tech with 17 kills and 13 digs.

Karina Mickelson was the only other Digger in double-digits with 10 kills.

Freshman libero Brianna Nabbout had 25 digs.

Ahlea Billis led the Bears with 15 kills.

Montana Tech hosts Montana State Northern next Thursday at 7 p.m. at the HPER Complex.
