LA MIRADA, California--For the second night in a row the Montana Tech women's basketball team dropped a close decision in California falling 74-71 to Biola.
Kourtney Coverdell scored a career-high 30 points on an efficient 10-of-21 effort from the field. Coverdell was 7-for-13 from three point territory.
Montana Tech led by five points with two minutes left to play but late free throws by the Eagles proved too much.
Sammy McGree scored 11 points and grabbed six rebounds for the Lady Diggers.
Shayla Mack scored 10 points and
Martha Dembek led the Lady Diggers on the boards seizing 11 rebounds.
DeMoria White scored 25 points to lead the Eagles.
Montana Tech drops to 4-4 on the season and will wrap up their California trip with Hope International University tomorrow afternoon at 3 PM.
