HAVRE, Mont. – The 21^st-ranked Montana Tech volleyball team handed MSU-Northern its third straight loss Friday night with a 25-23, 25-23, 25-23 victory at Armory Gymnasium.

The Diggers improve to 14-6 overall and 2-1 in the Frontier while the Skylights fall to 8-11, 0-3 on the year.

Tech jumped to an 11-4 advantage in the first set. The Skylights rallied back tying up the contest at 17 all. Both squads were neck and neck until Jordan Danz's kill gave Tech the 24-23 edge on their way to winning the set.

Northern had a slight edge throughout the evenly matched second stanza. The Skylights led by as many as four (14-10) however the Diggers would chip away at the lead to tie up the score at 22. Tech used a 3-1 run to end the set highlighted by a block by Sydney Norris.

In the third and final set both squads went back-and-forth on the scoreboard. With score knotted at 23 apiece, Danz converted on back-to-back kills to lead the Diggers to victory.

Danz filled up the stat sheet with a match-high 13 kills, eight digs and three service aces. Freshman Karina Mickelson added 11 kills while Makenzie Bauck contributed with 38 assists and 15 digs.

The Orediggers continue their five-match road swing next weekend when they take on rival Carroll College on Friday Oct. 2^nd and University of Great Falls on Saturday Oct. 3^rd.
