BUTTE, Mont. – It was the first game of the year for the women's basketball team and the first game ever for Yellowstone Christian College. The Orediggers dominated from end to end winning 102-35.
Junior college transfer
Monica Landdeck made a great first impression scoring 28 points hitting 10 of 13 from the field and 8 of 10 from three. The eight three pointers sets a school record.
The Orediggers hot 45.7 percent from the field and a stellar 47.2 percent from three point range.
Martha Dembek shot 5 of 10 from three and 7 for 13 from the field for 23 points. She also had four rebounds and a block and a steal.
Senior
Hattie Thatcher was the only other Oredigger in double figures netting 14. The Butte point guard also dished nine assists. She grabbed seven rebounds and had five steals.
Taylor Boss Ribs led Yellowstone Christian with 12 points.
Montana Tech hosts Dickinson State next weekend. Tipoff is at 2 p.m. next Saturday.
