Kourtney Coverdell's excellent night wasn't enough as Montana Tech fell to No. 25 Montana Western 66-56 Thursday night.
Coverdell was a spectacular 5-for-5 from three point land on her way to a team-high 17 points.
The Diggers shot an impressive 44 percent from the field but sent the rival Bulldogs to the line 21 times on the night. The Diggers were 9-for-18 from three point land.
Rachel Farris led the Diggers on the boards with eight rebounds and
Martha Dembek added 12 points and six rebounds.
The Diggers got good minutes out of
Monica Landdeck who scored eight points.
Bailey Armbruster and
Shay Potter chipped in seven and six respectively.
Kaye Bignell led the Bulldogs with 23 points and seven rebounds.
The Diggers fall to 4-6 in Frontier Conference play but host Rocky Mountain College on Saturday at 5:30 P.M. on Kelvin Sampson Court.
