BUTTE-- The No. 11 Orediggers piled up 932 yards of offense in the 93-19 victory over MSU-Northern Saturday afternoon on Bob Green Field.
The Oredigger offense started out hot and didn't cool off jumping out to a 66-0 lead at the halftime.
In the first half,
Jed Fike rushed for 247 yards on 13 rushes finding pay dirt from 7, 37, 52, and 68 yards out. Fike's big day on the ground was complimented by
Quinn McQueary's efficient day in the pocket. McQueary was 16-for-25 passing for 295 yards and three touchdowns. McQueary connected with
Tanner Osborne twice and
Sean Sullivan once for scores.
Dion Williams had another strong outing catching eight passes for 141 yards and a touchdown.
Braden Feisthamel rushed for 91 yards and a pair of scores while
Will Wyatt gained 72 yards and also found the endzone.
Montana Tech had 11 different players catch passes in the contest.
Montana Tech's 932 yards and 93 points are both new school records.
Defensively,
Mick Paffhausen led the way with seven total tackles.
Brock Polley added six tackles and one tackle for loss while
Connor Wines had another QB sack.
Montana Tech plays Rocky Mountain College next Saturday on Bob Green Field at 1PM MST.
