BUTTE— Rocky Mountain College used a 45-yard field goal as time expired to defeat Montana Tech 30-27 on Bob Green Field.
The No. 11 Orediggers (6-2) turned the ball over three times on Saturday afternoon. The loss snapped a 15 game home win streak for Montana Tech.
Running back
Jed Fike rushed for 149 yards on 23 carries and scored twice to lead the Digger offense.
Quinn McQueary was 22-of-36 for 212 yards and two touchdowns but was intercepted three times on the day.
Sean Sullivan led all receiver with nine receptions for 58 yards while
Jed Fike added a catch for 58 yards.
Chris Kelly caught five passes for 38 yards including a touchdown to tie the game at 27-27.
The Diggers were held to 355 yards on the day offensively. Rocky Mountain College totaled 494 yards overall with 237 of those coming on the ground.
Montana Tech travels to Caldwell, Idaho next weekend to take on the College of Idaho Yotes.
