LEWISTON, Idaho- The Montana Tech Orediggers got back to their winning ways defeating Portland Bible College 75-63 in the Clearwater River Casino Tournament hosted by Lewis-Clark State.
The Diggers (4-1) were paced on offense by junior post
Carson Dummer who had 16 points and seven rebounds. Point guard
Chris O'Neill added 12 markers of his own and freshman
Nick Fitts scored 12 as well. Fitts was 3-of-5 from downtown and had three assists.Â
Montana Tech had 14 assists on 23 made baskets and turned Portland Bible over 18 times. The Orediggers shot 42 percent from the field and 46 percent from three point range in the victory.
The Diggers got 31 points from their bench in Saturday night's win including seven points from Derrius Collins and five points from
John Chapman.
The Orediggers will travel to Caldwell, Idaho next Friday to take part in a tournament hosted by College of Idaho.
