Box Score SANTA CLARITA, Calif.-- Montana Tech's winning streak ended at seven games as the Diggers fell to No. 19 The Master's University 65-59 Friday night.
The Diggers (7-1), who were playing in the Jersey Mike's Tournament hosted by The Master's trailed 38-27 at the half after shooting just 30.6 percent from the floor and going 2-of-10 from three.
It was a different ballgame in the third quarter however, as the Diggers outscored The Master's 18-to-11 to make it a two-score game.
Master's would pull away in the fourth quarter outscoring Montana Tech 16-to-14 and winning by six points.
Montana Tech finished the contest just 5-for-21 from downtown and only attempted seven free throws.
The Diggers were led in scoring by
Kaylee Zard and
Shay Potter. Zard tallied 14 points and Potter registered a double-double scoring 13 and grabbing 11 boards.
Montana Tech plays Hope International to conclude the tournament tomorrow afternoon at 1PM MST.
