BUTTE, Mont. – Montana Tech used efficient shooting and cruised by Salish Kootenai College 104-59.
The Orediggers (8-2) jumped out fast hitting 13 of 20 in the first period and finished the game shooting 51.9 percent from the field.
Tech had the upper hand on the boards outrebounding Salish 48-30.
Kaylee Zard had a game-high 8 rebounds.
Kourtney Coverdell shot 8 of 12 from the field and 3 for 7 from beyond the arc finishing with 21 points in just 17 minutes.
Sophomore center
Shay Potter had another good outing netting 12 points on 6 of 7 shooting and finished with seven rebounds.
Sammy McGree had 11 points leading the Digger bench that dropped 53 points.
Kristie Runsabove led all scorers with 23 points.
Montana Tech starts the Frontier Conference season next week. The Orediggers travel to Montana Western on Thursday November 30
th before hosting Lewis-Clark State at home.
