BUTTE- The Montana Tech Orediggers second half rally wasn't enough as the fell to L-C State 75-67 on Kelvin Sampson Court Saturday night.
The Diggers came back from 15 points down midway through the second half to tie the game up at 65-65 with two minutes to play. Montana Tech shot 56.7 percent from the floor in the second half to rally back.
Senior guard
John Chapman scored 20 points on 8-for-13 shooting in his first start of the season while
Nick Fitts and
Jake Miles tallied 12 and 10 points respectively.
Trent Molesworth added nine points and had four assists.
Freshman Derrius Collins came off the bench to grab a game-high nine rebounds.
Lewis-Clark State shot 44 percent from the floor and was led in scoring by Andre McCowan who had 34.
The Diggers fall to 0-2 in Frontier Conference play and get back in action in Billings against MSU-B on Wednesday night.
