BUTTE, Mont. – Montana Tech held close but fell to MSU-Northern Saturday night, 76-62.
Led by
Lukas Vining's second consecutive 26-point performance the Orediggers entered the half down just nine against the Lights. The sophomore was 11-for-17 from the floor and also grabbed four rebounds for the Diggers.
Chris O'Neill added 15 points and five rebounds while
John Chapman chipped in seven markers.
Montana Tech shot 45 percent from the floor on the night but MSU-Northern was 8-for-20 from downtown.
Northern was led in scoring by Tyler Chandler who had 18.
Montana Tech hits the road next week for a pair of games. The Orediggers are at Rocky Mountain College next Thursday and Montana Western on Saturday.
