Box Score GREAT FALLS- Montana Tech got revenge on University of Providence defeating the Argos in a runaway affair 90-62.
Montana Tech, who led by 10 points at halftime the last time they played Providence, took a 20-point advantage into the halftime this game and never looked back. Montana Tech shot 51 percent in the first half and led 48-28 at the break.Â
The Diggers utilized their depth and received 39 points off the bench and scored 29 points off of turnovers. The Diggers turned Providence over 23 times.
Shay Potter continued her spectacular sophomore season with 16 points and nine rebounds. Potter was 6-of-9 from the floor and a perfect 4-for-4 from the stripe.
Mesa Williams and
Hannah Sparks added 10 points apiece and
Monica Landdeck and
Kaylynn Coverdell chippped in nine. Freshman
Mollie Peoples and sophomore post
Kaylee Zard scored eight as well.Â
The Diggers scored 25 points in both the first and fourth quarter of the victory.Â
Montana Tech improves to 2-5 in Frontier Conference play and 12-7 overall. The Diggers travel to Havre to take on MSU-Northern at 6 p.m. Saturday night.Â
