BUTTE- Montana Tech lost a tough one to Rocky Mountain College 68-65 on Friday night.
The Diggers rallied from a slow start to pull back into the contest thanks to a career-high night from
Dylan Pannabecker. Pannabecker scored 11 straight points midway through the first half and finished the night with 24. The sophomore from Choteau was 11-for-14 from the floor and grabbed five rebounds before fouling out.
The Diggers went into the break trailing 39-34 after shooting 45 percent from the floor.
Montana Tech went on a run around the 10 minute mark to take the lead 44-41 before the Battlin' Bears made key plays down the stretch.Â
Carson Dummer scored 12 points on 5-of-9 shooting and had seven rebounds.
John Chapman and
Jake Miles scored eight points apiece.
The Diggers finished the contest shooting 44 percent from the floor and just 27 percent from three point land. Tech turned over Rocky 15 times on the night.
The Diggers fall to 2-8 in Frontier Conference play and 10-11 overall.
Montana Tech host Montana Western on February 1 at 7:30 p.m.
