BUTTE, Mont. – No. 18 Rocky Mountain had the hot hand Friday night taking down the Diggers 68-52.
The Battlin' Bears hit 6 of 13 from three in the first half on the way to a 39-18 lead at the break. The continued their shooting assault finishing the game with a 43.9 field goal percentage.
The Diggers shooting struggles continued from the previous night shooting just 29.2 percent in the game and going 4 of 18 from deep.
Sammy McGree led the team with 9 points as not a single Digger hit double-digits.
Kaylynn Coverdell had 7 points.
Hailee Farstveet led the Bears with 20 points going 5 for 7 from three point range.
Montana Tech (13-9, 3-6) drop their second straight contest. The Orediggers return to the court next Thursday when they host Montana Western.
