Box Score DILLON, Mont. – Montana Tech edges Montana Western 70-65 in the final minutes snapping a six-game losing streak.

The Orediggers (14-13, 4-11) outscored the Bulldogs 8-2 in the final three minutes. Tech gets one victory over No. 15 Western going 2-1 on the season.

Tech trailed 35-31 at the half before pulling away 50-47 at the end of three.

Montana Tech shot 45.6 percent from the field and hit 6 of 15 from long. Western shot 18.8 percent from long missing all 8 three pointers in the second half.

Kourtney Coverdell led the Diggers with 15 points hitting 6 of 10 from the field and 2 of 3 from beyond the arc.

Shay Potter had a game-high 11 rebounds and 8 points.

Western's Brianna King had 28 points and 8 rebounds.

Montana Tech stays on the road traveling to Lewis-Clark State Saturday.
