DILLON, Mont. – The Oredigger offense could not find a rhythm against Montana Western in the first game of the Frontier Conference Tournament. The Bulldogs move on to the semifinals downing the Diggers 68-56.
Jake Miles was the only Digger in double-figures leading all scorers with 18 points. Miles shot 5 of 8 from beyond the arc.
Western was hot out of the gate shooting 61.5 percent in the first half and finishing the game with a 56.3 field goal percentage. The Bulldogs took a 41-26 lead into the locker room at halftime.
Dom Robinson led the Bulldogs with 15 points going 3 for 6 from long. The preseason Frontier Player of the Year had four assists, a steal and a block.
Brandon Jones had 14 for Western going 7 for 8 from the field.
Montana Tech finishes the season with a 12-18 overall record. The Orediggers improved on last season by five total victories and three more on the conference schedule.
