BUTTE, Mont. – The No. 20 Montana Tech Orediggers pounded the Montana Western Bulldogs in three straight sets 25-19, 25-17, 25-10.
The Orediggers (11-6, 3-0) kept their unblemished Frontier Conference record intact in the victory.
Masha Korol and
Kacee James had 10 kills each leading the Orediggers to a team hitting percentage of .214. Tech led in kills over Western 40-13.
The Orediggers were tough at the net led by James who had eight block assists as the team totaled 13 total blocks to just five from the Bulldogs.
Middle
Heather Thompson had eight kills and 10 block assists.
Karina Mickelson had nine kills.
Sabrina Hopcroft led in digs with 20.
Kylie McCree had a match-high 12 kills for Western.
Montana Tech hosts No. 6 Rocky Mountain College this Saturday. The match concludes the Hall of Fame Weekend for Digger Athletics starting at 7 p.m. on Kelvin Sampson Court.
