Scouting the Yotes
· The Yotes are currently on an 11-game winning streak and off to their best start since 1969.
· Running back Nick Calzaretta leads the Frontier in rushing with 699 yards and 6 touchdowns
· The always dangerous Darrius-James Peterson lit up Carroll last week for over 400 yards of total offense and was named Frontier Offensive POW

For the Record
· Head coach Chuck Morrell is 3-4 against the Yotes in his career
· The Orediggers defeated the Yotes for the first time in Caldwell last year in a 36-16 victory
· Morrell won his 50th career game last weekend and is now 50-41 overall
· Tech is perfect on the road this season and has not lost a road game since 10/20 last year against Eastern Oregon
 
OFFENSE
Run, Run, Run—
The Oredigger run game dominated the second half against Western showing off the Tech backfield. The Orediggers are 2nd in the Frontier in rushing (224 yds) and have two of the top 5 running backs in Tyler Folkes (73.8) and Blake Counts (67.8). Folkes finished with a career day against the Bulldogs rushing for 198 yards on 28 carries and 1 TD.
 
Making it Count—Counts score his 2nd and 3rd career touchdowns against the Bulldogs. The true freshman has 3 TDs and rushed for 251 yards in the last two games. Counts is averaging 4.5 yards per carry and 67.8 yards a game this season.
 
Passing Efficiently—Redshirt sophomore Jet Campbell may not lead the league in passing averaging just 196.4 yards per game, he is leading in efficiency (152.5). He is ranked 10th in the nation in Passing Efficiency. Campbell is completing 58.3% of his passes (2nd highest) with 7 TDs and only 2 interceptions. His second interception of the season last week came off of a tipped pass.
 
Offensive Front—The offensive line has been clearing the way for the Tech rushing attack this season. The Orediggers are averaging 610 yards on the ground and 6 rushing TDs the last two games. The team is 16th nationally in Rushing Offense per Game (218.4 yds) and 18th in Total Offense per Game (416.2).
 
Sophomore Sensation—Wide receiver Trevor Hoffman continues to impress. Hoffman ranks 3rd in the nation in Receiving Yards per Game (112.6) and 7th in Total Receiving Yards (563). Hoffman caught his fifth touchdown reception of the season against the Bulldgos and had passed the century mark in receiving yards for the third time. He leads the Frontier in touchdown catches.
 
DEFFENSE
How 'Bout that Digger Defense—
Tech held Western to their lowest offensive production of the season by a heavy margin. The Bulldogs were averaging 39 points 462.5 yards of offense before the game. The Orediggers held them to just 150 yards of total offense and no touchdowns on offense.
 
Carter's Big Day—Senior linebacker Carter Myers was named the Frontier Conference Defensive Player of the Week. Myers had career highs in sacks (2) and tackles for a loss (4). Myers finished with 10 total tackles including 8 solo stops. The Cody, Wyoming native also batted down a Western pass shutting down a drive.
 
No Fly Zone—The Oredigger secondary showed why they are tops in the conference against the Bulldogs. Western was averaging 324.5 yards through the air prior to Saturday's game. Tech held Western to just 86 yards passing. The Orediggers rank 2nd in the NAIA in Pass Defense per Game (129.4) and 5th in Pass Defense Efficiency (82.4).
 
Stingy  D—College of Idaho scored the most points on Tech this season with 28. In the last four games, the Oredigger defense is giving up only 9 points per game. On the season, the Orediggers rank 7th nationally in Scoring Defense (12.8 pts) and 6th in Total Defense per Game (249.4).  Tech ranks 2nd in Opponent First Downs (67).
 
Sack Leaders—Orediggers Myers and Arthur Flynn are ranked second in the Frontier in sacks (4.0) and sacks per game (0.8). Both Myers and Flynn have recorded 3 sacks in the last 2 games.
