ASHEVILLE, N.C. -- Montana Tech's track & field team logged a pair of top-15 finishes on Day 2 at the NAIA outdoor track & field championships at UNC Asheville Thursday.
Senior

It was the third event of the meet for the Frontier Conference's men's track championship athlete of the meet; he also competed in the 400m hurdles and 4x100m relay on Wednesday.
Sophomore
Ayla Janzen completed her first nationals heptathlon in 13th place with 4,462 points. She finished 11th in the javelin (33.02m) and 12th in both the long jump (5.08m) and 800m run (2:36.47) to add 1,716 points to her tally on the second day of the combined event.
The Orediggers were scheduled to have more competition Thursday, but inclement weather forced the NAIA to adjust its meet schedule. Junior
Tyra Opperman and freshman
Brityn Stewart will now compete in the women's javelin Friday at noon MDT.
