BUTTE, Mont.- Montana Tech's second half comeback fell short against the College of Idaho as the Orediggers lost 90-84 on Saturday night at Kelvin Sampson Court.
The Orediggers (1-1) rebounded from a 42-34 deficit in the first half to cut the difference to just three points, 86-83, with under a minute left to play.
Montana Tech were balanced in their offensive attack with six players scoring in double figures.
Taylor England led Montana Tech with 14 points while
Sindou Diallo and Derius Collins scored 13.
Troy Owens Jr. scored 12,
Dylan Pannabecker added 11, and
Nate Ward chipped in 10 points and eight assists.
The Diggers shot 39.1% from the field and 30.4% from three while the Yotes were an efficient 48.1% from the field and 45.8% from three point land.
The Yotes were led in scoring by Nate Bruneel who scored a game-high 21 points.
The Diggers get back in action on Tuesday when they play Idaho State in Pocatello for an exhibition at 7 P.M.
