BUTTE, Mont. – Montana Tech Athletics announced expanded tailgating for the Homecoming football game this Saturday. The Orediggers host Montana Western this weekend to cap off Homecoming festivities.

Tailgating is allowed in designated tailgate areas only on the Montana Tech campus. The Digger Athletic Association is expecting a large crowd for the Homecoming game and is anticipating the need for more space for tailgaters.

The new permanent tailgating area in the Student Success Center (SSC) parking lot has been successful the first two games of the season. The lot is broken into three areas. Section A is reserved for football parents and sections B and C are designated for season tailgate holders. Additional spots are sold on a first-come-first-serve basis. Sections A and B are already sold out for this weekend's game. A limited number of spaces are available in section C.

In addition, the South HPER Complex field will be used for the visiting team tailgate and overflow once the SSC lot is full.

Tailgate spots in the SSC are $50 per spot and the South HPER field is $25. The South HPER Complex lot will be sold on game day only while locations in the SSC can be purchased in advance.

The DAA is also recommending purchasing tickets in advance. The Butte Civic Center Box Office sells all advanced tickets. Only reserved tickets are sold are available prior to game day. To purchase tickets online, go to butteciviccenter.com or call 406.497.6400.

Tailgate areas open at 3:30 p.m. and will be closed off at 5:30 prior to kickoff. The football games is slated to start at 6 p.m.
