BUTTE -- Montana Tech's football program and head coach
Kyle Samson are excited to announce the Orediggers' 2026 schedule.
Montana Tech is fresh off the most successful season in program history in many respects. The Orediggers completed a perfect regular season, claimed the Frontier Conference East Division title, and won a game in the NAIA Football Championship Series, finishing the year with a 12-1 record and a national quarterfinal appearance. Tech finished the season ranked No. 5 in the land.
The 2026 season will begin with a new flavor of opponent for the Copper Game on Thursday, August 27 as Ottawa (Ariz.) pays a visit to Alumni Coliseum. It will be the first-ever meeting between the Orediggers and the Spirit.
Other home dates include Carroll (September 5), Southern Oregon (September 19, Hall of Fame Game presented by Intermountain Health), MSU-Northern (October 10, Homecoming), Dickinson State (October 31), and Rocky Mountain (November 7, Senior Day).
Montana Tech will also have five road dates: Montana Western (September 12), College of Idaho (September 26), Dakota State (October 3), Mayville State (October 24), and Valley City State (November 14).
Season tickets for the Orediggers' 2026 campaign will go live for renewals on July 6 and will be open to the general public starting July 20. All ticket sales will take place online at
