CALDWELL, Idaho- The Montana Tech women's basketball team won their seventh straight game on Saturday defeating College of Idaho in the Dominos Classic, 64-53.
The Orediggers (7-1) led from start to finish jumping out to a 20-12 lead at the end of the first quarter and taking a 37-25 halftime lead.
Montana Tech saw another impressive performance from
Mesa Williams who scored a game-high 23 points on 9-of-20 shooting from the floor.
Mollie Peoples and
Kaylee Zard were also in double figures for the Orediggers with 15 and 12 points respectively. Freshman
Tavia Rooney added 9 points and 7 rebounds while
Dani Urick and
Hailey Crawford chipped in 3 and 2 points respectively.
The Orediggers forced College of Idaho into 27 turnovers in the contest and held the Yotes to just 32.7 percent shooting. Royce-Radford led the Yotes with 13 points.
Montana Tech improves to 7-1 with the victory and plays Idaho State in an exhibition on Monday in Pocatello at 7 p.m..
