CALDWELL, Idaho- A strong defensive showing and a season-high 35 points from
Sindou Diallo pushed the Oredigger men's basketball team past Multnomah in the Taco Bell Classic hosted by the College of Idaho.
Montana Tech (3-2) jumped out to a 50-38 lead of the NAIA leading Lions who average over 100 points per game. Montana Tech held Multnomah to 38.8% shooting in the first half while shooting 55.5% themselves.
Diallo's 35 points came on a 16-for-25 shooting performance and included four assists for the junior.
Dylan Pannabecker added 14 points while
Troy Owens Jr. chipped in 13.
Taylor England grabbed 13 rebounds and
Christian Jones added 10 boards.
Justin Martin led Multnomah with 27 points.
The Diggers get back into action on Saturday night when they play host College of Idaho at 7 p.m.
