WHITEFISH, Mont. – The Frontier Conference released the Preaseason Coaches Poll today. Montana Tech was picked third by the other head coaches in the league. Defending conference tournament champion University of Providence received the most first place votes and was selected the preseason favorite.
Providence had four of the seven total first place votes. Last year's regular season champion Rocky Mountain College received the other three votes.
Following Montana Tech was Carroll College, Lewis-Clark State, MSU-Northern and Montana Western.
Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own teams. First place was worth six points, second place worth five points, third place worth four points, fourth place worth three points, fifth place worth two points and sixth place worth one point.
