BUTTE, Mont. – Carroll College had the hot hand downing Montana Tech 75-60.
The Orediggers kept the game close in the opening minutes including holding a three point lead. The Saints used a 14-5 run to finish the quarter and a 20-12 lead at the end of the quarter.
The Saints never lost the lead the rest of the game shooting 46 percent from the floor and completed 7 of 18 from three point range.
The Orediggers shot well shooting 44.7 percent from the field and 5 of 10 from long. But the Saints had the edge on the boards outrebounds the Orediggers 40-26.
Brooke Heggie led the Orediggers with 12 points on 6 of 8 shooting. Heggie added 5 rebounds and 3 blocks to her totals.
Dani Urick had 10 points and 3 rebounds.
Mesa Williams hit 2 of 4 from long and finished with 9 points.
Christine Denny had 13 points and 10 boards for the Saints.
Jamie Pickens had 19 points and 5 rebounds. Danielle Wagner finished with 16 points.
Montana Tech (1-3, Frontier 1-3) hosts the University of Providence on Monday.
