BILLINGS, Mont.- Rocky's post presence was just too much for Montana Tech as the Diggers fell 72-59 to the Battlin' Bears.
The Orediggers (14-16, 4-14 Conf.) hung tough with the No. 24 Battlin' Bears who were celebrating senior day at the Fortin Center.
Rocky shot a whopping 47.9% from the floor and was led in scoring by Markaela Francis' 33 points. The Orediggers had five players hit double figures in
Tavia Rooney with 12,
Dani Urick with 11,
Mollie Peoples with 10,
Mesa Williams with 10, and
Kaylee Zard with 10 points. Zard and Rooney each pulled down 5 rebounds to lead the Diggers.
Montana Tech finished the game shooting 38.9% from the floor.
The Orediggers will play Wednesday in the Frontier Conference Tournament with more information coming from the league office shortly.
