WHITEFISH, Mont. – The Frontier Conference released the 2019-20 Women's and Men's Golf All-Conference Teams today. The Orediggers placed one woman and two men on the conference teams.
Sean Ramsbacher was named to the first team and
Trey Hoagland and
Emily Garden earned second team honors.
The all-conference team is determined by the results of the league's regular season tournaments completed last fall. The top five golfers receive first team honors and the second five receive second team honors.
This year marks the first time since 2016 Montana Tech placed multiple student-athletes on the all-conference teams.
Ramsbacher, a junior from Missoula, Montana, won the Argo Invitational and helped the Orediggers overcome a 12-stroke deficit to win their first team title in over 10 years. Ramsbacher had another top-10 finish at the Warrior Invite in Lewiston, Idaho and finished in 11
th at the Carroll College Invite at Green Meadow Country Club. He finished the conference season with a 72.44 average.
Hoagland finished his senior campaign with a 74.67 average a top-10 finishes at the Argo and Carroll Invitationals with an 8
th and 5
th place finishes. The Butte native finished in 23
rd place in Lewiston.
Garden, a freshman from Lolo, Montana, had a 12
th place finish in Helena at the Carroll Invitational and 15
th at the Warrior Invite. She took 27
th at the Meadow Lark Country Club at the Argo Invitational. Garden had an 83.00 average in conference action.
Seniors
Bridger Martin from Shelby, Montana, and
Lynzee Dexter from Townsend, Montana, were awarded the Frontier Conference's Champions of Character Awards for exemplifying the five core values of the NAIA which are integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.
Rocky Mountain College was crowned the regular season men's champion and head coach Aaron Pohle was named Coach of the Year. Lewis-Clark State college sophomore Carlos Davila was named the Player of the Year. Rocky Mountain's Nolan Bursminski was named Freshman of the Year.
Rocky also took the women's regular season title and Pohle was named the Coach of the Year. Freshman Hailey Derricson was named both Player and Freshman of the Year.
