BUTTE, Mont. – Montana Tech struggled finding the bucket in the second half against Montana Western falling 61-52.
The Orediggers (4-10) led at halftime 31-29 shooting 48.2 percent from the field. The Bulldogs (10-4) went 0-for-10 from three point range, but were still in the game.
Jaden Comings led the Orediggers with 8 points in the first half and finished with 10. Comings left the game early in the third quarter with an injury.
The Orediggers shot 35 percent from the field in the second half getting outscored 17-11 in the third quarter and didn't make their first field goal in the fourth until 3:30 left in the game.
Tech finished with 25 turnovers and Western had 20.
Dani Urick finished with 10 points, 2 rebounds, and 3 assists.
Madison Allen had 9 points, 3 rebounds, and 5 steals.
Nia Faletoi had 6 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, and a block.
Western's Brynley Fitzgerald had 22 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 steals.
Shainy Mack had 13 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 steals.
Montana Tech goes on the road next week when they travel to the University of Providence.
