No. 15 Montana Tech volleyball travels to Helena and the P.E. Center at Carroll College for the Frontier Conference Tournament Friday.

The Orediggers (21-8, 7-3) finished second in the Frontier Conference standings behind No. 5 Providence. Both teams received a first round bye at the tournament and will play the winners from the first round in the night games Friday night. Tech faces the highest seed after the first round at 7 p.m.

The winner of the tournament will receive an automatic entry into the NAIA National Tournament. The Orediggers have a good chance of receiving an at-large bid to the national tournament if they don't win the Frontier Conference Tournament. The first round of the NAIA National Tournament is November 20 with matches held at host institutions. The winners of the first round move on to the final site in Sioux City, Iowa November 30 – December 4.

The Orediggers lead the Frontier Conference in hitting percentage (.219) and are second in kills per set (12.57). Tech leads the conference in service aces (218) and is second in total blocks (252).

Junior outside hitter Maureen Jessop is second in the league in total kills (300) and is fifth in kills per set (3.0). Jessop leads the Frontier in total service aces this season (44).

Senior outside hitter Karina Mickelson is fifth in the conference in total kills (296) and sixth in kills per set (2.87).

Junior setter McKenna Kaelber leads the conference in total assists (1,015) and is second in assists per set (10.15).  

Sarah Hopcroft leads the Orediggers in digs this season and is ranked fourth in the Frontier in total digs (534) and digs per set (5.34).

Senior Sydney Parks is third in the conference in total blocks (118) and fourth in blocks per set (1.1). Taylor Henley is fourth in the in the conference in total blocks (103) and seventh in blocks per set (1.03).
